Why/When/Where did you start practicing yoga?

I have my sister-in-law to thank for getting me into yoga.  She had recommended that my wife and I join her for some local community yoga sessions she had been attending.  I was instantly drawn to the idea of moving meditation.  I had been searching for something that could help me cope with panic attacks. Yoga, very quickly, became the solution.

How has yoga changed/influenced your life?

Yoga has influenced my life in almost every way.  Through my practice, I have learned how to be more patient and balanced, less attached and most of all, more caring of others.  I use to have a very cynical view of most people and the world around me.  My practice helped me to open my eyes to all the positive and beautiful things about this life, allowing me to drop some of the more negative energies that had been dragging me down.  

What has been your experience practicing at The Yoga Loft?

Practicing at the Yoga Loft has been a huge part of my yoga journey.  I’ve been practicing here for over 5 years now and I’ve always found that this space has a very supportive energy.  It’s a judgment free zone and that is felt the moment you step into the room.  There are not enough words to describe how important the amazing teachers here (both past and present) have been to my yoga journey.  I would not be the same person I am today if I had not started practicing here.

Anything else you wish to share about your yoga journey?

My favorite aspect of my yoga journey is that it never really ends.  I am always learning something new that I can integrate into my practice.
