Willa has felt first hand the gift of yoga to help her find space to heal her chronic back pain, space within her overused and creaking joints after years of athletics, space to sit and breath with more ease, space to peer into the mind and observe both the joy and sadness in this life around us - and to recognize the magnificence of our reactions to the shifts and changes that life so beautifully brings.

A student and teacher for over 25 years, Willa likes to teach ... people! 

She just adores people.  Her style of Vinyasa and Yin yoga blends creative sequencing with wise alignment cues to help students find their strength AND softness on AND off their mats.  A Teacher’s teacher - Willa takes great joy in mentoring others and creates and leads teacher training programs at the 200 and 500 hour levels. She has trained and taught with David Magone (200hr PranaVayu), Josh Summers (300hr Yin Yoga), Lama Migmar Tseten (Sakya Institute, Cambridge) and other luminaries across the country, as well as leading international retreats together with Larisa Forman.  At all levels, Willa encourages and empowers us to express ourselves through the art and science of being fully human.

Willa’s evolving style offers classes that are challenging yet accessible, intelligent yet entertaining, philosophical yet whimsical, contemplative yet conversational. She accompanies each class with practical meditational techniques, a deep knowledge of the somatic experience and refreshing alternative music and poetry. Classes always close with a delicious guided meditation and savasana.
