“What is Ayurveda?” Ayurveda is one of the oldest health systems in the world. It’s roots date back thousands of years in India. Ayurveda is known to be the sister science of yoga. While yoga brings peace to the mind, Ayurveda brings balance to the body. The two systems work together. Ayurveda focuses on our unique composition of the five elements (earth, wind, ether, fire, water) and how we interact and respond to these elements through our food, activities and seasons. It is a logical health system that focuses on prevention. An Ayurveda lifestyle helps to create balance everyday and just like yoga, it’s a practice.
